Poggio
Etrusco is a privately owned estate near Montepulciano, halfway between
Florence and Rome. On 15 acres, the property is an active oliveto with 1,250
olive trees. We have a garden from which we pick our fresh, seasonal produce.
The three neighboring farms provide us with organic fruit, wine, and pecorino
cheese. The views are breath-taking from every angle. In the distance we
can see the charming hilltown of Cortona and Lago Trasimeno; nearby we see
the ancient towers of the historic towns of Montepulciano and Chianciano
Terme.
The villa has three private apartments available
for weeklong holiday rentals. Each apartment is uniquely charming and
comes equipped with a fully-equipped kitchen and living area with a fireplace.
They are tastefully decorated with antiques and artwork, each with lovely
views. A private one-bedroom, one-bath room in the olive grove may be
available for Bed & Breakfast.
A swimming pool is a welcome respite in the summer months. Home-cooked
meals, cooking classes, and bicycles are available. Nearby, you can find
tennis and horseback riding. The property is within minutes of Montepulciano
Terme and Chianciano Terme; both offer a wide variety of spa treatments.
Self service laundry is available on the premises. Cleaning service is
available. Telephone rental can be arranged. Internet access is available
nearby in Montepulciano.
To reserve, payment in full is required. Full refund is available with
a 90-day cancellation notice (less a $25 handling fee). To check availability,
please feel free to contact us.
Poggio Etrusco can be easily accessed by car from the Val di Chiana
exit of the A1 (the major autostrada between Rome and Florence. There
is an Avis office in Chiusi, the major train station near us).
