Taste the language

(every Thursday)

• 10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Meeting point at the School Koine', and beginning of the class called: "how to get by in an Italian environment". The didactic method used is the communicative approach, typical of the Indo-European languages. There will be three phases, each one will last one hour:
  • Identification (how to introduce ourselves)
  • Orientation (passive repetition of some terms and words with the goal of memorizing some key terms and become familiar with the soun
  • Interpretation (with possibility of interacting and role playing with other participants and teacher as well)
  Each phase will last one hour. The spirit of the course is to have fun while learning, with the only objective to spark the curiosity and familiarize students with Italian. There will be videos, recorded tapes with real life scenarios. At the very beginning, there will be a brief introduction on the history of Italian, with Florence considered the mayor "hub" of the Italian culture.
• 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Lunch with Tuscan specilities and wines at the Trattoria Icche c’è c’è. During lunch, there will be linguistic games and role play between the waiter and the participants
• 2:30 pm: End of the activity
