Family of cariofillaceae
This plant is very common in meadows and it blossoms with small bunches
of sleigh-bells which have white petals. The capsule contains seeds and
children used to employ it as a pipe.

Use
The fresh shoots are used to prepare mixed salads, or they can
be boiled, or they can be an ingredient of an omelette. Locally it
is called "grasso agnellino" which means fat lamb. |
