The olive-trees are a basic part of the Tuscan landscape; some of
these plants are three hundred years of age and follow silently the history
of men. We drive you in the kingdom of the Tuscan oil: the hills around
Impruneta, San Casciano and Tavarnelle. The olives are still collected
by hand with the help of long wood ladders leaning against the olive branches.
The oil is still kept in enormous brick-jars produced in ancient manufactures
in Impruneta.
