The plant of raspberry, with its pale-blue leaves, colonises large slopes
of Apennines meadows.

Use
The fruit ripens at the beginning of August and by using it we
can prepare syrups, jellies and delicious jams, which have refreshing,
diuretic and antiscorbutic effects. The fruits, if eaten fresh with
sugar and lemon or with whisked cream, is one of the most delicious
things of our life. The leaves of raspberry are also used to prepare
a particular type of tea, which was thought to be beneficial for pregnant
women. |
