This plant was already known and used by Romans, who used to bite it
in order to win the thirst. It grows in uncultivated fields and along
streams sides.
Use In the Middle Age it was normally used in recipes. Pick up the
leaves in Spring and then boil them and use for less tasty courses,
or together with other vegetables in minestroni.
